Spectacular heavy cargo at bayernhafen Passau

The cold box consists of heat exchangers with piping and other process components for an ammonia plant for the production of fertilizers. Per inland vessel it went over the Danube, Main-Danube Canal and the Rhine to the Seaport Rotterdam - and from there by sea ship to indonesia.

On the same day a 80-ton Preecoler was still loaded on an inland waterway vessel. The 20-meter-long heat exchanger was destined for China, where it is installed in a plant for the liquefaction of natural gas.

The equipment was manufactured at about 90 kilometers east of Munich, Linde plant in Schalchen. Two heavy-duty vehicles with 64 or 29 meters in length transported the plant components for the bayernhafen Passau, which is part of the bayernhafen Gruppe. With the envelope options for heavy and bulky items, the six bayernhafen sites contribute significantly to the backup location of the plant in Bavaria.
